We at The Upper Room Fellowship are very glad that you are considering the possibility of visiting us and hope that your time with us will become invaluable to you. But we know that visiting a church for the first time can be confusing, like you’ve wandered into a stranger’s family reunion. Everyone else seems to know what to do, but you have no clue. We want to help make your first experience at The Upper Room Fellowship a great one!
The Upper Room Fellowship meets every weekend on Sundays at
500 Sponseller Road in Columbiana Ohio (map)
WHat are the services like?
In total, an Upper Room Fellowship service is about 75-90 minutes in length. Services begin with the Upper Room Fellowship band leading the church in music. The song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sing along and engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
What do I wear?
At the Upper Room Fellowship you’ll see everything from suits to T-shirts and shorts. Wear what makes you feel comfortable—you’re among family here!
IS THERE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY AVAILABLE?
Yes, Nursery to 5th grade is available at our Sunday morning service. Upper Room Kids is a place where your kids can have fun, grow, and discover just how much God loves them.
We also want to let every parent know – all of our volunteers are background checked and trained before serving in any capacity in our family ministry areas. This is to ensure the safety and engagement we expect in our kids environments.
DO I HAVE TO CHECK MY KIDS IN?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week, and at The Upper Room Fellowship, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a check-in process for our Upper Room Fellowship program the first time that you visit. Our check-in process is to help us best care for your child as they learn and worship and so parents know kids are in a friendly safe environment.
WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE WHEN I'M at the church?
As a first-time guest, our goal is that your experience at The Upper Room Fellowship is an amazing one. Check in at the Information Center on your way in to get some information on the church and a greeter will show you around our space before service begins. Be sure to grab some coffee in the lobby as come in to wake yourself up too.
WILL SOMEONE BE ASKING ME FOR MONEY?
Offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who consider The Upper Room their home. At The Upper Room Fellowship, we teach and believe in Biblical stewardship. For new visitors, your presence is a gift to us. We want you to be blessed by the service without feeling any obligation to give. In fact, if you are new with us, we have a gift for you!
I'M NEW AND YOU HAVE A GIFT FOR ME?
Absolutely! We’re glad you’re choosing to come and be a part of what’s happening. Stop by the Information Center in our main lobby and we have a gift for you. It’s our way of saying “we are glad you’re here and thank you for coming.”
