Sozo Ministry

What is Sozo?

"Sozo" is a Greek word used over 100 times in the New Testament meaning "to save, deliver, make whole, restore, and heal." It reflects God's desire for our complete wholeness - spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.

"But Jesus turning and seeing her said, 'Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well (sozo).' And at once the woman was made well (sozo)."

— Matthew 9:22

Are there areas in your life where you feel stuck? Do you sense there's more to your relationship with God than you're currently experiencing? Sozo ministry provides a gentle, Spirit-led path to identify and remove barriers that may be hindering your intimate relationship with God and your ability to walk in the fullness of your God-given identity and purpose.

Biblical Foundation

The ministry is built on these biblical truths:

  • God desires wholeness and freedom for His children (John 10:10, Isaiah 61:1-3)
  • Truth sets us free from bondage (John 8:32)
  • We are transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2)
  • Healing comes through our relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (James 5:16, Psalm 147:3)

A Sozo session is not a counseling session, but rather a time of interacting with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to seek wholeness and pursue your destiny. During a session, our trained Sozo team members will sit down with you and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness.

Our Approach

Our aim is to love people and provide a safe space where the healing of past wounds can break strongholds, replace lies with truth, and close "doors" to the enemy. Through gentle, Spirit-led prayer ministry, we help you:

  • Experience freedom from emotional wounds and pain
  • Break unhealthy ties and thought patterns
  • Identify and remove barriers to your relationship with God
  • Replace lies with God's truth
  • Discover your true identity in Christ
  • Walk in the destiny God has called you to

Our Sozo Tools

The Father Ladder:

Restoring Divine Connections

The Father Ladder helps you understand how early relationships have shaped your perception of God. By exploring these connections, we can identify and heal areas where past experiences may have distorted your view of the Father, Jesus, or Holy Spirit.

Through this tool, many discover the profound love of a Heavenly Father who is nothing like human authorities who may have disappointed them. As these connections are restored, many experience God's love in deeply transformative ways.

The Wall:

Breaking Through Barriers

The Wall helps identify barriers that may be blocking your intimate relationship with God. These obstacles often form from past hurts, false beliefs, unforgiveness, or sin patterns that create separation.

As each "brick" in the wall is identified, you'll have the opportunity to invite Jesus into these areas for healing and transformation. Many people experience profound freedom as these walls come down, allowing them to experience God's presence in new ways.

Presenting Jesus:

Healing in His Presence

This powerful tool invites Jesus into painful memories to bring His healing perspective and presence. Rather than merely analyzing past hurts, Presenting Jesus focuses on experiencing Christ's healing presence within those memories.

Many people report seeing past events from a completely new perspective as Jesus reveals His truth about what happened. This often brings profound healing to wounds that have affected them for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one Sozo session actually heal a lie that has been believed for many years?

Yes. Once the Lord heals the lie that settled into your spirit, the rest of your life experiences based on this lie will realign to His truth. Many people report significant breakthroughs in just one session, though some may benefit from additional sessions.

Is Sozo counseling?

No. Sozo sessions do not include psychological counseling, Bible study, or teaching. Sozo is prayer ministry that helps heal your relationship with God to enable you to fulfill your destiny. It should not replace professional counseling or medical treatment when needed.

How long does a Sozo session last?

A typical Sozo session lasts approximately 2 hours. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

How many Sozo sessions will I need?

Many people experience significant breakthrough in just one session. However, some individuals may benefit from follow-up sessions, particularly if there are multiple areas that need healing or if the issues are complex and deeply rooted. Our team will provide guidance about whether additional sessions might be beneficial.

What happens during a Sozo session?

During a session, you'll meet with two trained team members who will guide you through a series of questions and tools designed to identify root issues and facilitate connection with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The session begins with prayer, followed by the use of various Sozo tools as the Holy Spirit leads. The session concludes with prayer and brief discussion about any follow-up steps.

Will I have to share deeply personal information?

While some personal sharing is necessary for the process, you always remain in control of what you choose to share. Our team is trained to be sensitive and to follow the Holy Spirit's leading without pressuring you to share more than you're comfortable with. The focus is on connecting with God, not on detailed analysis of your past.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a core value of our Sozo ministry. What you share during a session remains confidential among the ministry team, except in cases where we are legally required to report (such as intent to harm yourself or others, or cases of abuse).

Do I need to be a member of this church to receive Sozo ministry?

No, Sozo ministry is available to both church members and non-members. We welcome anyone who desires greater freedom and a deeper connection with God.

What should I do to prepare for my Sozo session?

We recommend that you prepare by:

  • Spending time in prayer before your session
  • Getting adequate rest the night before
  • Eating a meal before your session
  • Coming with an open heart and willingness to hear from God
  • Being honest with yourself and with God

What if I don't experience anything during my session?

Not everyone has dramatic emotional experiences during Sozo. Healing can be quiet and subtle. Even if you don't feel immediate changes, trust that God is working. Many people report that they continue to notice positive changes in the days and weeks following their session.

Is Sozo deliverance ministry?

While Sozo may include elements of deliverance (addressing areas where the enemy has gained influence), it is primarily focused on inner healing through connection with God. Sozo approaches deliverance from the perspective of removing lies that have given the enemy access, rather than focusing primarily on confronting demonic influences.

What makes Sozo different from other prayer ministries?

Sozo is unique in its focus on directly connecting individuals with each member of the Trinity for healing, rather than the ministry team being the source of healing. The tools used in Sozo help facilitate this connection in practical ways, addressing root issues rather than just symptoms.

What Sozo Is NOT

  • Sozo is NOT psychotherapy or psychological counseling
  • Sozo is NOT a substitute for professional mental health services or medical care
  • Sozo is NOT fortune-telling or predictive prophecy
  • Sozo is NOT a formula or technique that works automatically
  • Sozo is NOT a ministry that forces healing or deliverance on anyone

Our Sozo Ministry Team

Our Sozo team consists of dedicated believers who have:

  • Received specialized Sozo training
  • Committed to ongoing spiritual growth and development
  • A heart for seeing people walk in freedom and wholeness
  • A strong prayer life and relationship with the Lord

Each team member goes through a thorough application process, receives proper training, and serves under the covering and accountability of our church leadership.
